What does a Spinal Disc Decompression treatment consist of?

Pretreatment: Light Therapy

Light Therapy is nothing more than shining a high intensity light into the area of interest; it's just that this "light" is very intense, "monochromatic"

Light Therapy(One wavelength), coherent (all the photons are in phase and synchronized) and is applied with a very specific dose in mind. It is painless, non-toxic, non-invasive, without drugs and very safe.

Light Therapy helps for repair tissue, soft-tissue inflammatory conditions, and pain reduction; as well as indications that light therapy speeds up the inflammatory process (healing), increases the size and number of fibroblasts, results in neoangiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), and synthesizes collagen.

In short, Light Therapy reduces healing duration 30-40% and the injured tissues are stronger than if they had not been exposed to Light Therapy.

Treatment: Decompression

It is a fact that damaged intervertebral discs seldom heal. This is because the discs are constantly under pressure, even while you are at rest.  Our treatment is a clinically proven principle to non-surgically decompression of the spine and by creating a vacuum effect and reduces the pressure inside the discs. Decompression or the reduction of pressure inside the disc facilitates the transfer of fluids, nutrients and oxygen back inside the disc and results in the retraction of bulging or herniated discs, providing welcome relief of nerve pressure and pain.

Spinal Disc Decompression can reduce the pressure inside the discs to help, shrink disc herniations and drawing in fluids and nutrients necessary for healing to occur.

Disc Rehab Spine

Core Strength

Once pain has diminished, a detailed exercise program to strengthen core muscles and improve flexibility completes the treatment. If muscles support and give strength to the spine, and lack of proper muscle support and weakness of the spine result in disc problems and structural weakness, then the reality is that rehabilitation without proper muscle strengthening, results might be only temporary.

Including exercises for the cervical and lumbar spine. In addition, exercises are included for general strengthening of the trunk muscles and for promoting range of motion. All exercises, Exercises will be used as part of completing this comprehensive plan of care.
